Long-distance move from Brampton, ON to Dartmouth, NS

Legal action being taken.

Failed to meet schedules, billed us 3 times the original quote, refused to provide promised discounts for above stated failures due to a review they earned that they didn't like. They will hold your belongings hostage until you pay their inflated invoice. Not this time. This is going to court. This won't happen to anyone else again.

Official company response

Keith, I am trying to understand why you are misrepresenting the facts. You have gone to several review sites to spread your poison and at all times we had handled your claims with facts and then with solutions to which were turned down. To begin with your name is no where on the contract which was with your girlfriend's name on the contract so legally you can't lodge complaints against us as we did not go into contract with you. When a quote is provided its based on information that was submitted to us and based on that info we provided a ballpark cost. Considering that this was out of province move the quotation is based on the approximate volume of weight as per details provided to us. We then get the goods scaled before the pick up and then after pickup with the very same scale ticket which is monitored and verified that the weight being scaled before and after are in fact legitimate. The goods were in fact scaled in higher and we have the proof of the scaled tickets. The increase was based purely on more content being moved then we were told of. This will result in a higher scaled weight and obviously a higher invoice. We presented the bill and made arrangements to deliver within our promised timeline but your girlfriend disputed the amount and I spoke with her to advise why and where the increase was coming at and you were the screaming catalyst in the background advising her not to accept and hang up the phone. We left it in her hands as if the bill is not paid for or agreed upon the load has to be placed into storage for the time being so the other consolidated clients can get delivered, all of the remaining 26,000 lbs to be delivered to that province and the NB, none of them had a single billing concern, ZERO! We advised that storage cost will incur the longer she takes to make the decision but you put the blame on us that we kept it hostage, NOT FAIR!! I personally spoke with her mother to resolve this amicably and provided substantial discounts. The per pound rate was reduced from $0.55/lbs to my cost at $0.45/lbs, that alone was a $429 reduction, we waived the storage fees, applied a credit of $350 as PR gesture a show of good faith, and an additional credit of $250, reduced fuel surcharge from 12% to 6% thus a credit of $115.83, reduced packing materials used to safe guard your content by $110. The overall discount we applied was $1,254.83 plus tax so total of $1,443.05. Despite this you still declined and choose to not have your goods delivered. Now you tell me, or those who are reading this, how did we hold your goods hostage, how did we not make several attempts to deliver your goods which we gain nothing from keeping, it's in our interest to deliver as that is how we get paid for the service we provide, how did we inflate the price 3 times, if that was the case then your invoice would have been $4000 and up but it was exactly half that, how did we refuse to provide any discounts. You mentioned its going to court, still no court case because you don't have a valid case and honestly would encourage you to do so if you feel that is the case. You have obviously taken this personally and are continuously making comments that are not fair nor factual. Please contact me directly and those reading this I encourage you not to make your decision based on this but do your research thoroughly, reach out to me so I can show you hard evidence that the false accusations against us are unwarranted, uncalled for and just downright absurd. We made every attempt to have this resolved but you two chose otherwise. I wish you both nothing but the best and truly hope you find happiness in your lives.
